Four disciplines. Designed as one system.
VS MEP Designs delivers integrated mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services for commercial buildings and mission-critical facilities. The four disciplines are coordinated as one drawing set by a single senior engineer, not handed across four separate teams.
Mechanical (HVAC)
Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and central plant design for commercial and mission-critical facilities.
- ◆HVAC load calculation and system selection
- ◆Chilled water and DX plant design
- ◆Ventilation and smoke control (including plant-room exhaust and supply air for transit stations)
- ◆Energy-efficient system design and verification
- ◆Coordination with architectural and structural grids
Output: Coordinated mechanical drawings, equipment schedules, and specifications, ready for tender and construction.
Electrical
Power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems for commercial and mission-critical facilities.
- ◆Power distribution design (HT / LT, transformer, switchgear sizing)
- ◆Lighting design (interior, exterior, emergency)
- ◆Standby and emergency power systems (DG, UPS)
- ◆Low-voltage and data infrastructure
- ◆Earthing, lightning protection, coordination with utility supply
Output: Single-line diagrams, coordinated electrical drawings, and specifications.
Plumbing
Water supply, drainage, gas, and hydro-pneumatic systems for commercial, gated community, and institutional facilities.
- ◆Domestic water supply and hot water generation
- ◆Hydro-pneumatic system design using Poisson distribution sizing, typically 75% leaner than conventional methods, with lower capex and operating cost
- ◆Sanitary and stormwater drainage
- ◆Water treatment and pumping systems
- ◆Gas distribution (LPG / PNG where applicable)
- ◆Coordination with structural and architectural penetrations
Output: Coordinated plumbing drawings, riser diagrams, and specifications.
Fire protection
Sprinkler, suppression, and fire detection system design coordinated with the architectural and structural layout.
- ◆Sprinkler system design (wet, dry, pre-action)
- ◆Suppression system design for special-risk areas
- ◆Fire detection and alarm system layouts
- ◆Coordination with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing layouts
- ◆Code compliance documentation (NBC, NFPA, local authority requirements)
Output: Coordinated fire protection drawings, hydraulic calculations, and specifications.
MEP coordination across the four disciplines.
MEP coordination is the process of integrating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection drawings into a single conflict-free layout before construction begins. Most MEP firms outsource this to a separate BIM coordinator. VS MEP Designs handles coordination at design time, one engineer makes the routing decisions across all four disciplines as the design develops, rather than reconciling four separate drawings at the end.
What we do, and what we don't.
- ◆System design across all four disciplines (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection)
- ◆Coordinated 2D drawings ready for tender, construction, and authority approval
- ◆Design development through commissioning, including all construction-phase support
- ◆BIM modelling. We design the systems and produce the drawings. BIM model authoring and federation sit with the project's BIM consultant or the design-build contractor, not with us.
- ◆Pure CAD production from another consultant's design. The work has to be ours from design intent up.
- ◆Projects already at IFC or later, unless the scope is purely advisory.
- ◆Lowest-fee tender pursuits. We compete on outcomes and senior attention, not on fee position.
The first 5,000 sqft at no fee.
The first 5,000 sqft of MEP design on any new client engagement is delivered at no fee. Full discipline coverage, full coordination, full drawings ready for tender on that portion of scope. The rest of the engagement runs on standard terms. It is not a discount and it is not a trial. It is a working sample of how Srinivasan engages, what the drawings look like, and how the coordination holds up. Eligibility is confirmed on the first call after a project brief is received.
